The 2017 edition of Ghana’s President Cup will take placeat the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday July 2.
The tie will see the nation’s two most glamorous clubs, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak battle for bragging rights in a one off contest.
The traditional heavy weights have already met twice this season with Hearts of Oak emerging victorious on both occasions.
The Phiobians recorded a 1-0 win in a controversy marred league clash in Accra before mauling their Kumasi based rivals 3-1 in the first leg of Ghana’s Sixtieth anniversary cup at the same venue weeks later.
The latest cup tie brings to five the number meetings between the two sides this season taking into account the Premier league second round tie and the return leg of the anniversary cup both of which will be played in Kumasi.
The latest addition to the Kotoko/Hearts fixtures for this year is the president cup which organizers say, will be telecast live on National TV.
