Deputy Black Stars coach, Maxwell Konadu has counselled his charges not to be self-satisfied in the return leg of the 2018 CHAN qualifier against the Stallions of Burkina Faso this weekend in Kumasi.
The Black Stars B drew 2-2 with the home-based Stallions in Ouagadougou on Saturday and has Konadu has cautioned his boys not to relax though they have an advantage going into the reverse leg.
“We have to put our house in order although we have been training for the past eight months. I am not disappointed about the score line but we got a bit worried about how we conceded,” Konadu stated after the game.
“I can say the 2-2 score line is not bad as we all know but I think we could have done better. We have an advantage now because we scored two goals away but now the pressure is going to be on us so we will try to go and win the second game convincingly.”
“We have to psyche ourselves well and will make sure we do the right thing and fully concentrate. We must not be complacent as it is football and it defies logic.”
The Black Stars B will host the Stallions at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday.
