Ghana midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has been named in CAF best XI of day 4 from the World cup 2018 qualifying series.
The Atletico Madrid forward’s impressive performance on Tuesday which saw him net hat-trick for the Black Stars in their 5-1 mauling over Congo earned him a place in the list released on Wednesday.
He was also on target in the Black Stars 1-1 draw with the Red Devils in the first leg in Kumasi.
Partey’s incredible contributions were recognised by the Confederation of African Football.
Ugandan Goalie Denis Onyango who was named in the best XI after the third round of matches maintained his position in the Goal post.
Leon Balogun of Nigeria, Stoppila Sunzu, Zambia and Ahmed Hegazy of Egypt completed the back three of the 3-4-3 formation system.
Senegalese forward Sadio Mane of Liverpool fame, Naim Sliti,of Tunisia, together with Victor Moses and Black Stars midfielder Thomas Teye Partey occupied the midfield quartet.
Garry Rodrigues of Cape Verde, Alain Traore of Burkina Faso and Mohammed Saleh spearheaded the attack in the CAF best XI team.
