AFCON 2017: Ghana Premier League best player Latif Blessing most likely to make Black Stars final list


Liberty Professional forward Latif Atta Blessing who emerged as 2016 Ghana Premier League best player is likely to make coach Avram Grant’s final list for the 2017 Nations Cup in Gabon has learnt.

The Ghana Premier League top scorer is most likely to join Wa All Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori as the only two local players to join Ghana’s contingent for the tourney.

According to SWAG president Kwabena Yeboah on Kumasi based Angel Fm, Blessing has been very outstanding at the Black Stars non- residential training grounds hence being tipped to make the final cut as Ghana eyes its fifth continental trophy in the past 35 years.

He went on to report that Torino’s Afriyie Acquah may not be part of the Black Stars team for the AFCON as the technical handlers of the team have questioned his form recently.

Alanyaspor’s defender Nuru Sulley and AIK  midfielder Ebenezer Ofori he adds Avram Grant is struggling to drop him following their exploits during training sessions.

Coach Avram Grant will on Monday January 2 name his final squad for the tournament slated for Gabon.
