Ashgold SC Coach C.K Akunnor is determined to sign Hearts of Oak’s silky winger,Isaac Mensah on a loan deal as his side battle to fight relegation.
The Obuasi based side has official written to the Phobians for the services of the player according to information reaching sportsworldghana.com.
The 21 year old,attacking midfielder is struggling this season to get a game time this 2017 season due to injury woes.
The winger, nicknamed ‘Ashaiman Messi’ by a section of Hearts fans, was one of the brightest spots for the club last season .
The miners are currently placed bottom in the Ghana premier league with the worst ever start to a league season since qualifying to the elite competition in 1978 .
The Miners are keen to shop the winger in the second transfer window to boost their attack .
Ashgold is strongly looking for players to add to their squad to avoid relegation and has also open talks with Asante kotoko for the service of Goalkeepers Isaac Amoako ,Ernest Sowah ,defenders Richard Osei Agyemang ,Abeiku Ainooson and Attacker Kwame Boateng.
Other report indicates ,Ashgold is also in talks with Division One League outfit Dreams FC for some undisclosed players .
The talented youngster Isaac Mensah has a year left on his contract but will be difficult to price him away since Coach Frank Nutall want to maintain him as backup to strengthen the team quest to fight of the league title.
