Bristol City fan Jasper Scofield has taken a donation of Academy kit to a remote town in Ghana.
When Bristol City fan Jasper Scofield contacted the Academy about taking some of our old kit on his trip to Abor – a small town in Ghana – we were more than happy to help out.
Jasper is based at a Catholic school in the village and has been impressed by the teachers and students alike. He said: “It does great work for young kids who have lost their parents, been abandoned or have parents who aren’t able to provide for them. The school feeds, clothes and educates the children, who stay there all year round.”
The gallery below speaks for itself, but Jasper assured us that the kit went down a storm with the school children: “They spend all their free time playing football, so when we gave them the Academy kit they were over the moon – in fact some of them wore the kit every day for the next few weeks! The kit meant so much to them. This remote part of Ghana now has a committed following of Bristol City fans.”
Huge thanks to Jasper for getting in touch with us and sharing these incredible photos.
