Ghana’s male senior national team [Black Stars] will host Ethiopia on 11 June, 2017 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier opener. The Black Stars have not played in Kumasi for a while now after they had their AFCON 2017 qualifier matches rioted in the country. Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah has poured cold water on talks of an impending cancellation of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation’s $3 million-a-year sponsorship of the senior national team, the Black Stars. Michael Essien has scored his first goal on his debut appearance in Indonesia. The former Chelsea midfielder registered his debut strike for Persib Bandung debut on Wednesday in their 7-0 friendly win over Parsika Kawarang.
