Bechem United has submitted their 25 provisional squad for CAF Confederation with the absence of some notable players. The CEO of the club disclosed to Angel FM in an interview that though Arnol and Ackah are missing in the submitted list, CAF has provided a space for future addition of five. Bechem United Chief Executive Officer, Kingsley Osei Bonsu popularly known as Lord Zico says his outfit have chosen the Baba Yara sports stadium [Kumasi] to honor their CAF Confederations Cup matches should the Bechem Park fail to meet CAF’s standard. Ghanaian Premier League Champions Wa All Stars have drawn Libyan outfit Al Ahly Tripoli in the 2017 CAF Champions League preliminary round. The draw took place  on Wednesday in Cairo. The Wa based team will host the first leg between the weekend of 10–12 February 2017 and the return clash a week later. The Ghanaian champions will play either of FC Johansen/FUS Rabat in March should they advance to the next phase of the competition. Bechem United on the other hand have been drawn against MC Algiers from Algeria in the CAF Confederations Cup competition.

Operations director of Bechem United Mr. Francis has confirmed CAF has communicated to them that their park doesn’t meet the standard of CAF to host a confederation cup game.
