The Black Princesses of Ghana held Cameroon to a 1-1 draw game in the first leg of the final FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifier in Yaounde on Sunday afternoon. Twenty- five players have been invited to the Black Queens camp as they begin preparations for the upcoming WAFU Women’s Cup competition. The senior female national team have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Ivory Coast, Niger and Burkina Faso in the sub regional tournament which will be held from February 10-24. African champions Nigeria are in Group B with Togo,Benin and Senegal for the maiden edition of the competition. Italian second tier side Frosinone Calcio have completed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Rahman Chibsah on Loan. The 24-year old enforcer who signed a permanent deal with Benevento last season has decided to rejoin the Canaries following an embarrassing first half of the season at the Serie A bottom side. The Ghana Football Association’s bid to start the Ghana Premier League on February 11 could suffer a jolt as the planned smooth take-off is threatened by some legal tussles. The two sides won their opening fixture of this season’s curtain raiser competition, but lost to Medeama SC and Dreams FC respectively. The Ghana Football Association will hold a two-day seminar on February 7-8, 2018 at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE) in Prampram. Club Owners, Chief Executive Officers, Coaches and Media Officers of respective Premier League, Division One League and National Women’s League clubs are all expected to attend both seminars which will be held from 09:00hrs to 17:00hrs each day.
