The Blacks Queens jetted  off to Cameroon on Wednesday afternoon to start the 10th edition of the  African Women’s Championship campaign. The Ghanaian contingent consisted of twenty-one (21) players and 11 officials who flew from the Kotoka International Airport. The team will make transit to Lome in Togo before finally flying to Cameroon. The Black Queens will open their Group B campaign against Kenya on 20 November at the Stade Municipal de Limbe, Limbe before facing Nigeria and Mali in their subsequent fixtures. Black Princesses coach Didi Dramani is confident his side will bounce back after suffering an early setback at the Women’s Under-20 World Cup ongoing in Papua New Guinea.Ghana lost to New Zealand by a lone goal in their opening game courtesy an 89th minute goal from Christensen Tayla. The Princesses as it stands now need to  win their remaining two matches against France and tournament favorite United States of America to secure qualification to the knockout stage. Fast growing reports from the grapevine in Kumasi indicate that the former General manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Mr Opoku Nti is lobbying for a role under the newly appointed executive chairman, Dr Kwame Kyei. A former Operations Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Owusu, has advised  passionate supporters of the club to massively rally behind the newly appointed Chief Executive, Dr. Kwame Kyei, to electrify him to build Kotoko into a dreadful side. The GFA Ethics Committee has invited three clubs officials to its next sitting on Thursday November 17 in relation to the alleged case of bribery and match fixing between BA United FC and Bolga All Stars FC which was played in Sunyani. The three invited officials are Isaac Wereko aka Wofa Atta (Welfare Manager of BA United), Emmanuel Asamoah (Team Manager of BA United) and Desmond Gyamfi (Equipment’s Officer of BA United).
