The Black Sharks of Ghana overcame a poor start to eliminate the Harambee Stars of Kenya by beating them 7 goals to 1. Berekum Chelsea have dumped Techiman City out of the Ghana Premier League after an emphatic final day win in Berekum. In a final relegation quagmire involving about five clubs, Chelsea were level on 37 points with Techiman City and they needed victory to ensure safety, while the least needed a point to entertain any hope of survival. The Black Starlets beat their Ivorian Counterparts 3-1 in the All African Games qualifier at the Cape Coast sports Stadium Sunday afternoon. The Ghanaian U17 side having edged out Burkina Faso in the qualifiers picked a 3-1 victory of the young elephant of Cote d’ivoire in the final round of the qualifier first leg. The Ghanaian winger left Chelsea for Newcastle on loan on summer deadline day. Christian Atsu has told BBC Radio Newcastle he had offers from overseas before deciding on a loan move to Newcastle United . Ghanaian forward Nasiru Mohammed has signed a four-year contract extension at Swedish Club BK Hacken. Nasiru signed a new deal with the Club to stall his move to French giants Olympic Marseille. The former Ghana U17 captain will thus be at Hacken until 2020. Nasiru has scored 24 goals since joining the Club from Ghanaian lower division side Rainbow FC in 2012.
