The Africa Cup of Nations will be contested by 24 teams when the next tournament takes place in 2019, says the Confederation of African Football (Caf). Caf’s Executive Committee rubber-stamped the proposal on Thursday at a meeting in the Moroccan capital Rabat. Africa’s flagship sporting event has featured 16 teams since 1996. Ghana winger Frank Acheampon has completed a year loan deal to Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda FC. The former Anderlecht winger will be at the Chinese side until 2018 and will sign a permanent deal if he still wants to stay in the Asian country. Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports Khaled Abdel-Aziz has revealed that 70,000 fans will be allowed to attend Egypt’s World Cup qualifier against Uganda next September. The Pharaohs will travel to Kampala to face the Cranes on Thursday, August 31 at the Mandela National Stadium, before hosting them on the 5th of September at Borg El Arab stadium in the fourth round of Group E.
