Youth and Sports Minister-designate, Isaac Asiamah has stated that he will insist as minister that all programmes and budgets of the Ghana Football Association go through the National Sports Authority. This, according to him, would ensure the GFA is answerable to the tax payer. The Minister-designate for Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah will appear before Parliament’s Appointments Committee today, Tuesday, February 6, 2016, for vetting. Two other minister-designates are also expected to appear before the committee. They are Mavis Hawa Koomson, minister-designate of Special Development Initiatives, and Awal Ibrahim Mohammed, Minister-designate of Business Development. Mr. Asiamah, appears before the committee days after the Black Stars failed to break the Nation’s 35 year wait for an AFCON trophy.
