Ghana defender Daniel Amartey’s Leicester City suffered a 2-1 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Foxes were denied a point at the Etihad Stadium after Riyad Mahrez’s spot kick was disallowed despite entering the net.
His goal was called off by the centre referee Robert Madley on the basis that the ball his his leg twice before entering the net.
David Silva gave the shot the lead on the 29th minute before Gabriel Jesus made it 2-0 seven minutes later.
Shinji Okazaki pulled one back for the visitors after he excellently slotted in a brilliant cross from Marc Albrighton in the 42nd minute.
Amartey was introduced into the game on the 56th minute to replace Andy King but couldn’t do enough to earn his side a point in their Premier League week 36 fixture.
The Foxes currently with two more games to a spare sit on 9th position on the log with 43 points
