Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has joined Turkish side Kayserispor on a two-year deal.
Gyan officially signed the two –year deal after a successful meeting with the club in Istanbul.
President of the club Dr.Erol BEDİR together with Asamoah Gyan and other club officials will fly to Kayseri Wednesday night.
The 31-year-old goal scoring machine joins Kayserispor after completing his loan stint with UAE side Al Ahli.
Gyan’s initial move to Bursaspor would have seen him earn an annual salary of €1.6m, representing about 84% reduction in the Ghana superstar’s salary after earning about $12m per year with Chinese side SIPG for the past three years.
A statement on the club’s website read: An agreement has been reached with world famous footballer Asamoah Gyan to join Kayserispor.
President Dr Erol BEDİR, actor Asamoah GYAN, Gökhan Altıntaş, Tuna Kaya and our club officials have signed a 2 + 1 year contract with the Ghanaian in the last meeting in Istanbul.
Our president Dr.Erol BEDİR and Asamoah GYAN will move to Kayseri with 21.20 plane tonight.
The former Shangai SIPG striker scored 8 goals in the last 21 games for Al Ahli of Dubai.
