Coach of the Black Maidens, Evans Adortey is adamant the Maidens will progress to the knockout stages of the on going Federation of International Football Association(FIFA) under17 women’s world cup in Jordan.
The Black Maidens had a humiliating start to the tournament, losing 5-nil to Japan
But coach Adortey is confident that his team will make it to the next stage of the competition.
“We conceded two goals in the first ten minutes and that’s what unsettled the team. We lost heavily but I remain confident of a qualification. We will go back to the drawing board and make the necessary corrections. We will make it to the next round, am very confident of that” Evans Adortey told pressmen after the game.
The Black Maidens are currently bottom of group D. Their next game is against the USA who defeated Paraguay 6-1.
