The Director of Accra Great Olympics, Fred Pappoe has cited money as the biggest problem traditional clubs in the country encounter.
The past few years have seen most traditional clubs in Ghana football fail to make significant impact in the Ghana Premier league and Fred Pappoe believes that money is the major factor hindering the success of the teams.
“I’m not sure any of the traditional clubs will love to play in the Division One League(DOL) but there are so many challenges hindering them. The crux of the matter is the unavailability of funds. Sometimes we have to take money from our private business and invest it in football and that’s unsustainable”. he told Takoradi based Spice Fm.
The former GFA Veep admonished Ghanaians to be circumspect and patience on the traditional clubs and also advised the handlers of the traditional teams to make the teams commercially viable
