Coach of Ghana’s Under-17 male team, Paa Kwesi Fabin has disclosed that his side could test their readiness for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in a friendly with Niger.
The Black Starlets intensified their preparations for the Nations Cup which now has Gabon as hosts since the beginning of the year but took a brief break.
The team is scheduled to resume camping at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram this weekend.
“We are going to resume preparations on Sunday.
“I think the FA has lined up a friendly match for us with Niger so when we resume, we would know the date we will play against them,” coach Fabin told Starrsportsgh.com’s Fentuo Tahiru.
He added: “after that match, we will continue preparation and go to acclimatize around Gabon before the tournament proper.”
The Black Starlets are drawn in Group A alongside Cameroon, Guinea and host nation Gabon.
The African Under-17 Cup of Nations is scheduled to come off between May 21 and June 4, 2017.
