English Premiership side Manchester City have confirmed they are interested in signing Ghana National Under 17 star Emmanuel Toku.
German Fifa player intermediary Wolfgang Ostendorf of EdEric Soccer Agency and Ostendorf Sports Services confirms to footballmadeinghana.com Pep Guardiola’s side have requested for the services of the Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School playmaker.
Toku was outstanding for Ghana in the just ended U17 Africa Cup of Nations tournament staged in Gabon after helping Paa Kwes Fabian side to win Silver medal.
According to Ostendorf talks between the English giants and Cheetah FC have started and he is hopeful the youngster can move to Eastlands this summer.
“Emmanuel Toku was recommended to us by our Ghana rep Edmund Okai Gyimah even before the tournament in Gabon. I proposed him to Manchester City and they sent their chief scout to Gabon to watch him. They are impressed,” Ostendorf said.
“City are ready to sign him and initial talks has started with his parent club in Ghana. We are hopeful everything will go well. The boy is a big talent and has a bright future ahead of him. He will develop well in England and be the main act in the City team few years to come,”
