Ghana’s Partey in full action as team Atletico Madrid beat Leverkusen to reach champions league quarter-finals

Black Stars midfielder Thomas Teye Partey’s Atletico Madrid have qualified to the last 8 of the Uefa champions league.

The Ghanaian international impressive performance for the spanish side helped them to book quarter-finals qualification for the fourth time in as many seasons following Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with Bayer Leverkusen Wednesday night.

Bernd Leno and Jan Oblak were the stars as Atletico Madrid drew 0-0 with Bayer Leverkusen to reach the Champions League last eight.

Diego Simeone’s side claimed a 4-2 win in the first leg of the last-16 tie in Germany and were never unduly troubled as they produced a composed performance at the Vicente Calderon.

Partey lasted the full 90 minutes on the pitch in the crucial game Atletico Madrid.
