Bank roller for Tema Youth SC Mr. Wilfred Osei kwaku Palmer has attributed his outfit’s demotion to the lower-tier to their week 27 league fixture encounter with Elmina Sharks, disclosing many things went wrong.

Osei Palmer having natured countless of top-notch players discovered the likes of Thomas Partey (Athletico Madrid- Spain), Joseph Atamah Laweh (Istanbul Basaksehir- Turkey), Moses Odjer and Gabriel Leveh (Tema Youth FC and Ghana U-17) who featured in both the recently ended U-17 world cup in India and the U-17 AFCON in Gabon this year.
Palmer speaking on Accra based Happy FM revealed ” Elmina Sharks contributed bitterly to our relegation as many things went very wrongly on that faithful day, as the centre referee also played his part, with lot of his decisions on the day been nothing to write home about.”
On whether he’s disappointed or worried about his side’s demotion to division one (1) stated “am content with my side’s relegation because is part of the game. It’s through this same relegation in time past that helped me to discover couple of naturally endowed players in the shape of Thomas Partey and Moses O.J, so having said that accepts it in good faith,” Palmer noted.
Commenting on why his outfit is more into the selling of players than buying highlighted, Tema Youth is into the developing type of football administration rather than the buying type like that of Asante Kotoko, who offload players at the end of every league season to purchase new faces, emphasizing “Kotoko should start from the top, we will start from the bottom.”
In conclusion to his talks promised the fans of Tema Youth that come next year his team will surely bounds back stronger to the premier league.
Tema Youth in the just ended Ghana Premier League finished 14th in the 16 league with 38points.
