Ghana Premier League Champions Wa All Stars recorded a second successive win of the campaign after beating newly promoted Bolga All Star in their Match Week 2 outstanding encounter game at the Utrecht Academy Park in Tamale on Wednesday afternoon.
The Blues put up an impressive second half display to record a 3-1 victory over the Upper East Regional side with goals coming striker Richard and youngster David Sandan Abagna- the latter scoring a brace on the afternoon.
Maxwell Frimpong scored the consolation goal for Bolga All Stars, who are yet to record a win in their debut Ghanaian top flight campaign.
In the other Week 2 outstanding fixture, an Ahmed Toure lone second half strike ensured that FA Cup champions Bechem United picked up all three points against another newly promoted side Tema Youth.
The victory is Bechem United’s second in a matter of three days following last Sunday’s 1-0 win over Liberty Professionals at the same venue.
The Brong Ahafo based side have now jumped to occupy the third position on the league log with 10 points, behind joint leaders Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko who are both on 13 points.
Champions Wa All Stars move to fifth on the log on 7 point but with a game in hand against WAFA at the Wa Park still to come.
