Wa All Stars were history makers Wednesday afternoon after beating title contenders Aduana Stars 2-1 to win the 2015/2016 premier league trophy.
A goal each from Paul Asare and Sadiq Alhassan were all that Wa All Stars needed to emerge champions of in the Ghana Premier League 2015/2016 season.
Paul Devris Asare shot the All Stars in front five minute after kick off time but Bright Adjei levelled things up three minutes after for Aduana Stars.
The host were awarded a spot kick in the first half under a very controversial circumstances but Aduana Stars goalie Joseph Addo saved the spot kick to deny the All Stars the lead before break.
The game later became a din don affair as both sides kept pushing for victory but the first half ended one all.
Back from recess, Referee Ali Alhassan again awarded Wa All Stars another spot kick this time under a very controversial situation as the Ogya lads almost quit the game before play resumed minutes later for the much talked about penalty to be taken.
Sadiq Alhassan had no time to waste as he beautifully converted the ball straight into the net to to ensure his side wins their maiden premier league title in the history of the Ghana Premier League.
Elsewhere at the Obuasi Len Clay sport stadium it was all goals galore as Asante Kotoko suffered a 5-3 defeat in the hands of defending champions Ashanti Gold Sporting Club.
At the Cape Coast sports stadium, Ebusua Dwarfs became pitiless as they walloped already relegated Edubiase United by five goals to one.
