GPL week 9 report: Kotoko fall for Inter Allies’ frustration, Hearts stumbled at Berekum

Asante Kotoko rigidity in the final third continue to hunt them as they were held to 0-0 goalless draw by Inter Allies in week 9 of the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara sports stadium.

Head coach Logarusic was quoted early this week of his intention of throwing more men upfront to break the goalscoring drought but the visiting team were equal to the task as they managed to frustrate Kotoko from making any incursion.

Inter Allies had several opportunities to punish the home side but wasted all the chances that fell through.

Asante Kotoko suffered a painful defeat fortnight ago but the quest to turn things around could not materialise as they fall for Inter Allies’ frustration.

It was joy for Berekum Chelsea as they rib Hearts of Oak of all the three points at the Golden City Park.

Hearts of oak went into the encounter with the hope of consolidating the gain they made against Kotoko two weeks ago but Stephen Sarfo 22nd strike was what settled the score.

The home side were at their usual home fluidity, forcing the Phobians backwards. Seth Appiah neat head cross located Stephen Sarfo to blast home what was the only goal of the game.
