Contrary to reports in the media that Ghana has been given an additional two slots to participate in Africa both in the CAF Confederations Cup and CAF champions league competitions, Ghana Football Association boss Kwesi Nyantakyi says CAF has not handed Ghana any additional slot.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Angel FM, the FA boss debunked the rife media reports stating clearly that his office has not officially received any communication from organizers of the continental competitions CAF.
When asked whether his outfit has received any official communication from CAF he said ”Well as far as the Ghana Football Association is concern, Ghana has not received any official communication”. he said.
He added” If there’s going to be any future communication from CAF then I cannot tell for now but the truth is nothing of that sort has been communicated to our outfit.”
Wa All Stars and Bechem United have qualified to represent Ghana next season in the CAF Champions league and Confederations cup respectively.
