Spokesperson for the South African football Association Dominique marvi has revealed that Cameroon coach Hugo Broos is one of the favorites to land the Bafana Bafana job.
The Belgian, who masterminded the Cameroonians’ triumph at last moths Africa Cup of nations is one of over 60 applicants for the job.Several big names have applied, including Italians Roberto Mancini and Giovanni Trapattoni as well as Germans Lothas Matthaus and Bernd Schuster.
Hassan Shehata, who led Egypt to three Nations Cup titles, and Nigeria’s Samson Siasia are also on the list.
But Marvi believes Broo’s his fate is in the hands of the committee responsible for naming a coach for the country.
“Yes he has also applied and is one on the favorites to land the job but that will solely depend on the committee responsible for naming our next coach after the exit of Ephriam Mashaba”he told Starr FM
