Asante Kotoko head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has expressed delight for winning his first game in the MTN FA Cup round of 32 fixture against lower tier side Proud United on Sunday, adding he wants to ‘’create a very good and solid team’’
The Porcupine warriors had to rely on Baba Mahama’s second half goal to book qualification to the last 16.
Kotoko have gone winless in eight open play matches after the sacking of Croatian trainer Dzvrako Logarusic.
“I am happy for getting this win, I want to create a very good and solid team’’ He said
‘’I know every player have a preferred food, but we all decided to control their diet, not me alone, all the members of the technical team.’’.
‘’The players know they have to work extra harder, because I will pick the ones I know are in form for matches”
“We are working on putting smiles back on the faces of all Kotoko fans and bring them back to fill the stands in the stadium”, he told Kumasi based Nhyira FM.
Pollack however dismissed claims that the porcupine warriors have lost race for the league title.
“But the gap is just 4 matches, so anything can happen, anything is possible, we are still in contention”
‘’We need the support of all the fans and bring smiles back on the faces and bring them back to fill the stands in the stadium”.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko will play Tema Youth in the opening match of the second round of Ghana Premier League.
