WAFU winner and captain for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Amos Frimpong is aiming for the bigger challenge should it fall his way.
The porcupine Warriors skipper sparkled in the WAFU tournament and became the tower of praise from the readers of the game and has tipped the hard working right back as an ideal candidate for Stars call up ahead of the crucial world cup date with the cranes of Uganda.
Amos who has been a consistent performer for Asante Kotoko speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Angel Fm disclosed , he will gladly welcome a call up into the senior national team as it is every players dream to represent his country on the biggest stage.
“It’s each players biggest dream to wear the colours of the senior national team, so if God willing I get the chance to join the group, I will do my best to learn from the seniors and help with what I possess in achieving our targets.”
The captain further revealed that, their triumph over arch-rivals Nigeria, was masterminded by the technical by brilliance of Coach Maxwell Konadu.
“The coach said a lot about the Nigerian team” he said
“Naturally the Nigerians are very strong and physical and as such, he told us to do a lot of movement on the pitch and I must say what Capello thought us was the secret to our victory.”
