GFA Vice President George Afriyie says he will not be bothered should the Starlets fail to win this year’s Africa under 17 championship .
The Black Starlets have exhibited some great performances at the competition which has so far seen them keeping a clean record as the only side not to have conceded a goal.
Ghana will play Mali in the grand finale after beating Niger 6-5 on penalties.George Afriyie insists he will not be disappointed if Ghana fails to win the tournament.
“Immediately we begin to think about trophies,it defeats the purpose of youth development because at this level, its not about trophies”he told Starr Sports
“It’s the level where its purely for development ”
“So for me if any Coach is developing talents at the youth level and they don’t win trophies, i am not bothered at all”he added
