West Ham United forward Andre Ayew says he is gradually getting to his best after recovering from an earlier injury setback.
Ayew who joined West Ham United from Swansea City for £20.6m in the summer, suffered a thigh injury in their league opener against Chelsea.
The Black Stars deputy captain recovered back before the turn of the year and went to Gabon to play for Ghana at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ayew was on target in the Hammers 2-2 stalemate against Sunderland on Saturday.
“I think I’m getting there,” he observed. “I have said it before, I’m getting there. I know my quality and I’m working hard and my teammates are giving me a lot of confidence. They have a lot of trust in me.
“I am trying to do my best at the moment.”
