Former Asante Kotoko Legend Rev. Osei Kofi says he lacks the financial capacity to advice management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
According to Rev. Osei Kofi, “poor people are seen as lacking wisdom” and so I cannot afford to have an opinion.
The retired footballer was speaking on Abusua FM’s late afternoon Drive Time Show on matters affecting local football.
The host had asked him on whether he will advise management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko to retain the team’s head coach, Steve Polack or not.
In response, Rev. Osei Kofi said, “unfortunately I can’t advise in that because I’m not rich.”
“In this country, the opinion of poor people do not matter but those of the rich and mighty.”
“All I can say is that, the team has a contract with the coach, at the expiration of the contract, they should assess him by his performance.”
Rev. Osei Kofi adds, “if by their assessment they think he has excelled, they know what to do and if he hasn’t, they can decide on the way forward but I don’t think I have the capacity to advise them now.”
