The Executive Committee of CAF on Saturday stripped Kenya off the hosting right for the 2018 African Nations Championship following a meeting at the Tan Palace hotel in Accra .
The reports from a team of inspectors from Caf, who visited Kenya in the first week of September, suggested that facilities for the tournament would not be ready with only three months away despite Kenyan’s government releasing funds to speed up the works.
They also added that the political unrest in the country will not aid a successful tournament.
“After several deliberations by the Executive committee of CAF,we have concluded that Kenya be stripped of the 2018 CHAN hosting rights because infrastructure wise they are not ready”
“The political unrest in the country will not help in hosting a very successful event “CAF President Ahmad Ahmad added.
