Emmanuel Gyamfi has been suspended for a match following his accumulation of three yellow cards in the 2016/17 Premier League.
He will therefore play no part in Sunday’s FA Cup Round of 64 match against Bekwai Youth Academy at Bekwai.
The livewire has been picking Man of the Match awards at an impressive rate. He has won six of them in 12 matches. The nimble footed winger has however been attracting yellow cards as well. The latest development will thus see him out of the team’s first FA Cup match in 2017.
Gyamfi picked his first yellow card at Obuasi against Ashgold on match day four. His second was at home to Inter Allies on match day nine and the third was away to Wa All Stars last Sunday.
Kotoko have gone five matches without victory. The situation has put the Porcupines in dire need of a win. Being a knockout competition, there can be no room for slip as only a win will ensure progression in the cup competition.
Victory on Sunday will additionally aid the team to build momentum while creating the right psychological urge for Wednesday’s match day 13 league clash against Aduana Stars at home.
