Asante Kotoko have been handed a huge boost ahead of Sunday’s crucial clash with bitterest rivals Accra Hearts of Oak after Dr. Michael Leat, head of medical team declared Baba Mahama fit for the battle.
The midfielder suffered cuts and bruises in Kotoko’s disastrous accident that has seen the Porcupines absent from active football for over three weeks.
Michael Leat at a presser today announced that the former Techiman City midfielder is fit and ready for the crucial match.
“I won’t force any player to play when he’s not fit, they are OK, and that’s why we decided to play on Sunday” the club’s medical officer Michael Leat said.
“Baba Mahama will be ready on Sunday, he’s fit to play”.
“The players are fit to play on Sunday, except Ollenu and Akuffo
Midfield duo Michael Akuffu and Ollennu Ashitey are the only two players who will not feature for Kotoko on Sunday.
