There was nothing to separate Kotoko and Hearts as both side slug it out in a 1-1 draw in the week 23 outstanding fixture at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.
The Porcupine warriors were made it to sit out for two premiership games for their July 12 accident but returned to draw with arch rivals Hearts of Oak in action-packed encounter.
The home side were first to send the warning signal but Saddick Adams strike was well curtailed. Kotoko continue to steal the proceedings in the opening 20th minutes but the marauding run of Hearts front men provided a scary moments for Kotoko.
Asante Kotoko failed to build on their first half strength and surrendered to the Phobians. The composure of Hearts’ midfield led to the visitors’ lead. Winful Cobbinah picked the run of Fatawu Mohammed who located Kwame Kizito to slot home in the 60th minutes.
Kotoko regained control of the game and their persistent paid off as Hearts defender handled the ball it their half. Saddick Adams stood up and draw for the Warriors. There were loads of pressing in the last five minutes for both sides but it ended equal.
