Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah has named a 22-man squad for Ghana’s double-header friendly with Mexico and USA.
Ayew brothers – Andre and Jordan Ayew and Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey were excluded from the Black Stars squad for the two friendlies after their English clubs asked the FA to exclude them from the list following a fatigue tough season.
Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey and Torino midfielder Afriyie Acquah were also excluded from the squad.
Asante Kotoko goalie Felix Annan and Aduana Stars defender Daniel Darkwah were dropped from the squad.
Wa All Stars Goalie Richard Ofori Jospeh Addo of Aduana Stars are the two goalkeepers who made the trip to the United States.
Other local players in the team included Winful Cobbinah of Accra Hearts of Oak and Berekum Chelsea defender Nicholas Opoku.
New England Revolution midfielder Gershon Koffie, David Accam of Chicago Fire, Kwado Poku of FC Miami and Columbus Crew trio of Harrison Afful, Jonathan Mensah and Mohammed Abu, all based in the US, will join the team for the games.
