Ghana Premier League 2014/2015 champions Ashanti Gold Sporting Club have completed the signing of former Black Meteors midfielder Conney Idan for the next two seasons.
Idan who featured for Kumasi Asante Kotoko in last year’s GHALCA G6 tournament completed his move to the Obuasi based club on Friday afternoon.
The former Medeama SC midfielder had trained with Asante Kotoko for more than one month before his move to the Len Clay sports stadium.
The experience midfielder joined signed Ashgold as free agent after signing a two-year deal.
Speaking exclusively to sportsworlghana.com in an interview, he indicated that he joined Ashgold to help them better last season’s performance in the domestic league in the upcoming season which starts on February 11 and 12 respectively.
”I feel great to sign for Ashanti Gold SC, they are one of the best clubs in the Ghana Premier League and I feel happy to be part of their admirable brand”. Said Idan
He added ”I’m looking forward to working with my teammates to help the club win the league title they won two seasons ago.
