Kumasi Asante Kotoko have announced the appointment of the club’s former attacker Raphael Patron Akakpo as deputy coach.
Akakpo who has been part of WAFA’s successful story has been lured to return the club he played once had stint with. He will deputize head Coach Steve Pollack.
The young gaffer joined the Porcupine Warriors from Prampram Mighty Royals during the 1991/1992 season where he helped them to win the Ghanaian Premier League back-to back before saying goodbye to the club three seasons later to join Tema Ghapoha in 1995.
Announcing Akakpo’s appointment via twitter Asante Kotoko said ”We are elated to announce the appointment of new assistant coach, Raphael Patron Akakpo”.
