English Premier League club Newcastle scouts were in attendance at the Wankdorf stadium last week to watch Ghanaian defender Kasim Nuhu .
The match was a Champions League play-off between Young Boys and CSKA Moscow.
On the night the first leg was decided by a dramatic own goal from Kasim , the Young Boys centre-back, in the 91st minute.
This is the player who Newcastle scouts were there to watch, according to Swiss publication Blick.
The 22 year old Ghanaian played 26 times for Mallorca in La Liga before going on loan to Young Boys last season.
Along with Kevin Mbabu, the pair turned their loan arrangements into permanent moves this summer.
The 6ft 3 central defender was playing alongside Mbabu in the defence against CSKA Moscow and they play the second leg on Wednesday away from home, with a dramatic turnaround needed.
According to Swiss newspaper Blick, Tottenham Hotspur have been scouting Young Boys defender Kasim Nuhu,
The latest report suggests the Swiss side price Nuhu at around £8million, and while they would be loathe to lose him after a single season, if the right offer comes along they may do business for a player recently hailed by his club captain.
