Asante Kotoko head Coach George Steve Pollack thought his side could have beaten Medeama SC by an avalanche of goals but was content with the 3-1 victory in his side’s Ghana Premier League week 21 crunch fixture.
Goals from Evans Quao, Ahmed Adams and Sadick Adams ensured Steve Pollack’s side humbled the Mauves and Yellow side to continue their impressive form in the second round of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
Bismark Oppong pulled one back for Medeama SC.
Evans Quao shot the host in front before Ahmed Adams doubled the Porcupine warriors lead to the disadvantage of the visiting team.
Striker Sadick Adams scored an astonishing free kick to give Kotoko a commanding 3-0 lead before Bismark Oppong scored a consolation for Medeama on stoppage time.
Speaking at a presser after the game, Pollack said ”I think we played well today but we could have been up by ‘five goals’ but we missed lots of chances”
He added ”we weren’t releasing the ball very fast but the second half was a little bit better because we got the ball moving quicker”.
”I am happy we got all the three points which is the most important thing”.
