A Member of the Black Stars Management Committee Ernest Thompson has described targets set for Kwesi Appiah as realistic and achievable.
The former Al Khartoum Watani trainer has been tasked to qualify and win the 2019 AFCON in Cameroon and also do his possible best to qualify the team for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Speaking to the media at the unveiling of the head coach at the GFA Secretariat on Tuesday the former Hearts of Oak board member insists with the necessary support, Coach Appiah can achieve his targets.
“There is no way we would appoint a coach without making qualification and winning Afcon a target and it is possible for him to realize this goals for us”.
“It would be too much to ask Appiah to qualify for the World Cup but football is football and anything can happen”. It was fair that we make it a reasonable expectation but it was not a reason for termination of contract if he doesn’t achieve that one”, he added.
