Assistant Coach of title holders Wa All Stars, Abubakar Believer has indicated that, it would be difficult for his outfit to win the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
According to him the Northern Blues have given up on defending the title they won for the very first time last season.
Coach Enos Adepah and his charges historically won their first Premier League trophy since joining the top-flight ten years ago but have not had a good campaign this season.
A goal each from Obed Owusu and Yakubu Mohammed ensured Asante Kotoko handed them a 2-1 defeat on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their week 19 fixture.
Speaking after the game, Coach Believer said that wining the league this season is impossible but stressed they are hoping for a top four finish.
“To be honest the title has eluded Wa All Stars, but I think if we put our pieces together we can get a top four finish this season.
“We are working hard every day to finish the season very well. “For the ultimate, it is impossible for us this season”
Wa All Stars after Sunday’s defeat to the Porcupine Warriors lie 9th on the league log with 24 points.
