Thomas Teye Partey’s Atletico Madrid fail to reach Champions league final

Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Teye Partey and his Atletico Madrid team have failed to progress to grand finale of the UEFA Champions League.

Real Madrid will battle Italian giants Juventus on June 3rd in Cardiff for the 2017 Champions League trophy.

The white Angels beat Diego Simeone’s side 4-2 on aggregate to reach Cardiff.

The two- time finalists were kicked out of the competition by city rivals Real Madrid, a side they have lost twice to in finals.

Madrid had beaten their rivals 3-1 in the first leg before losing 2-1 on Wednesday night at the Vicente Calderón Stadium.

The Black Stars midfielder was introduced into the game in the 56th to replace Jose Gimenez but could not help his side to edge out the Spanish giants.

SSaul Niguez scored first for the host before Antoine Griezmann doubled their lead minutes later through s spot kick.
Isco however pulled a goal back for Real Madrid.
