Former Black Stars forward Tony Yeboah has descended heavily on the Ghana Football Association(GFA) and the Premier League Board(PLB) over what he described as the degrading standard of the Ghana Premier League(GPL)
The latest attack by the legendary Tony Yeboah adds to a number of personalities including the current Youth and Sports Minister who have lashed out the FA and PLB over the poor standard of the league.
“I don’t watch the Ghana league. Why should I watch a league that has been engulfed in match fixing allegations, poor officiating among other things? I prefer watching the English Premier League. The standard of the league has been waning and its surprising that the FA do not want to address the issues that have engulfed our league. We are joking here”. Tony Yeboah fumed in an interview with Kumasi based Otec FM
Tony’s view is in sharp contrast to that of the President of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) who described the just ended league as the best he has ever watched.
