TOTAL MESS: Black Stars players left stranded in US ahead of international friendly


Ghana national team players are reportedly left stranded in USA in the build-up to play  international friendly in Connecticut.

Black Stars will face the senior male team of USA on Saturday evening.

The officials and players were left frustrated at the airport in a transit to East Hartford, after playing Mexico in Houston.

Several reports has emerged that ,as  at 12 midnight, some players were still stranded at airports. some players were told at the airport that they had no tickets.

it took captain Asamoah Gyan to purchase tickets for 2 players to join the team in Connecticut and they arrived around midnight.Some  players had to do a connecting flight to New York and then three hours by road to join camp

Players board separate planes in  batches of two’s  and three’s.Black Stars players so furious with the poor organization by the GFA for the US friendlies.Due to the mess,team couldn’t train today for the US friendly tomorrow.

According to ace journalist Joe Laka of Kessben media who spoke from the team base in USA blamed the Ghana Fa and Match agent for the poor arrangement .

The Black Stars players and technical members depended on American-based Ghanaian food vendors for their lunch and supper on Thursday.

“Ghanaian food vendors who are here (USA) and one Shamo provided their launch and supper in Houston,”he said.
