Ghana’s Black Starlets defeated their Colombia counterparts in the opening game of FIFA U-17 World Cup in India on Friday at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the city of New Delhi.
Ghana scored the only goal of the match n the 39th minute through Sadiq Ibrahim who converted from close range after a cross from captain Eric Ayiah, who wasted a chance of his own in the second half.
The two teams had equal exchanges with both technical handlers injecting in new limbs but the scoreline stayed the same till the 90 minutes was up.

The Starlets will next play USA on Monday .The Americans defeated host India 3-0 to lead group A on superior goal difference .
