The Local Black Stars open their Group A account against Guinea this evening and coach of Ghana Maxwell Konadu has hinted to make some tactical changes to undo his opponents.
“We’ve made some couple of meetings with the players and we’ve agreed on how to face the Guineans. We will give some players free role and we shall see how it works. We are praying that things go as planned so that the boys make us proud” Konadu said in an interview ahead of the Guinea clash later today.
Before this game which kicks off at 18:00 GMT , the Black Stars would have known the outcome of the other Group A tie between Nigeria and Mali which will be played earlier today.
The Group A which houses Ghana , Mali, Nigeria and Guinea is touted as the group of death over Group A where Benin, Niger, Ivory Coast and Senegal are the teams.
Ghana struggled to beat a defensively compact Gambia side and needed a late contoversial penalty to win 1-0 but against Guinea the host team is expected to improve upon the Gmabia performance.
