Strong Aduana Stars central defender Wahab Adams is the latest player whose contracts ends at the end of the season, club sources have disclosed to SportsworldGhana.com.
SportsworldGhana first reported the contract expiry of midfielder Elvis Opoku and now there is a second player on the list of players set to leave the Brong Ahafo side as a free professional.
Adams joined Aduana Stars from Sekondi Hasaacas two seasons ago and immediately made himself a key asset at the Dormaa-based side forming a terrific central defensive partnership with Yakubu Mohammed and currently with Stephen Anokye Badu but now at the close of the season – if nothing changes – Adams will be representing a different club in the 2017/18 season.
SportsworldGhana.com is reliably told some players of the current league leader are bent on leaving Dormaa as the club is unwilling to offer them improved deals.
Meanwhile it is reasonable to assume that the club will do everything possible to keep its best players -something they are known for as the longevity of likes of Daniel Darkwa, Godred Saka, Emmanuel Akuoko, Stephen Adams and co is a strong testament.
Aduana Stars are on the brink of adding another star to their badge as they lead the league with 51 points – 4 more than close rivals WAFA.
