The President of the Ghana Beach Soccer Association(GBSA) Yaw Ampofo Ankrah is appealing to the government and corporate institutions to come to the aid of the national Beach Soccer team,the Black Sharks ahead of their 2016 Beach Soccer African Cup of Nations preparations.
Speaking to pressmen after the Sharks 7-1 victory over the Kenyans ,Yaw disclosed that “the team is 20% away from being a title winning team. If we get the required support and money and start training early we will win the title.
I am therefore appealing to the Sports ministry, The Ghana Football Association and the corporate world to come to aid of the national team”.
The Black Sharks secured a 2016 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations spot after a 17-4 aggregate demolishing of the Harambee Stars of Kenya.
Having impressed in their debut tournament last year, there will be huge pressure on the Sharks to emerge victorious in the tournament that is scheduled to come off in December. Nigeria has been confirmed as the host country
