Yusif Basigi commends Black Queens despite semi-final defeat to Cameroon


Black Queens coach Yusif Basigi has lauded his girls for their impressive performance against Cameroon despite losing 1-0 to the host in their semi-final match of the ongoing African Women Nations Cup.

The All African Games Gold winner believes the players played their hearts out only to concede such an unfortunate goal against the indomitable lionesses

Midfielder Raissa Feudjio  71st  minute goal was qualified Cameroon to the finals to keep their host and win mattra alive.

The Queens were seeking to reach their first final since 2006 where they lost to Nigeria.

”The girls were self-motivated, both intrinsically and intrinsically but, it was unfortunate we couldn’t win. But I’m happy with the team’s effort in reaching the semi-final,” Basigi at a presser after the game.
